Description:
This class is designed to give engineers and trades people a basic understanding of the symbology and terminology of pneumatics, and the application and types of pneumatic components.

This class covers the ANSI symbology of 2-, 3-, and 4-way valves; 2- and 3-position valves; and the applications of each. The various methods of valve actuation and operation are explored, with an explanation of the pros and cons of each. The multiple means of controlling cylinder speeds are examined as applied to system applications. The issues of lubrication and proper filtration are illustrated with OSHA and ISO requirements and future manufacturing trends in mind.
